RevdUp Apparel began with a real need. Don Douglas, Sonja’s brother and owner of RevdUp Pools, had been trying to find apparel solutions for his own business with no luck. None of what he was finding seemed to be made with pool pros in mind.

Since both Sonja and Don had prior experience with screen printing, they put their heads together to come up with a better solution. In 2024, they took their offering to a number of trade shows. The feedback they received from attendees was undeniable. They knew they had created something special, and RevdUp Apparel has been rapidly expanding since.

What sets RevdUp Apparel apart

RevdUp Apparel does something both simple and unique: it creates professional-looking apparel that pool pros actually want to wear on the job. Its inventory is as lightweight, quick-drying, and built for movement as it is vibrant and resilient.

And since it’s made by people who actually work in pool service, it’s also made to withstand the elements. Sonja and her team have found creative ways to extend the life of apparel that’s naturally exposed to chemicals, heat, and sun. For example, logo designs are strategically placed where splashback tends to occur, reducing the chance of staining. Similarly, creative pattern choices like camo, splash patterns, and pool reflections reduce the visibility of staining when it does occur.

The overall effect is two-fold: RevdUp Apparel works really well and looks really good, which is itself a branding opportunity for RevdUp’s customers. Sonja has seen first-hand that pool pros get taken more seriously when they’re dressed professionally. And as she says, “If you can wrap your truck, why not wrap your employees?”

How to place an order with RevdUp Apparel

If you’re curious about placing an order with RevdUp Apparel, the steps are easy:

1. Set up an online consultation

2. During your consultation, you’ll review designs, colors, and patterns that fit your vision.

3. A designer will provide a 2D and 3D mockup for your review and approval.

4. You’ll have the chance to tweak the design until it’s exactly how you want it.

5. Once the final mockup is approved, it goes up on the website and is presented to you in the following styles, which you can order in any quantity:

  • Long sleeve
  • Short sleeve
  • Dri-fit hoodie
  • Fleece hoodie
  • Leggings
  • Racer-back tank tops
  • Youth sizing

6. Your designs will be saved so that you can keep ordering more in the future without having to go back to square one.

7. Once you’ve purchased your design, it takes up to 21 days to get it printed, QAed, and shipped to you (though Sonja notes it often takes less time).

To get started, find RevdUp at a trade show or visit their website and fill out a contact request (you can also mention the Between Two Stops podcast to get $25 off your first order).
